Hailey Bieber is trending on X again, but this time it’s not because of Selena Gomez or Justin Bieber.
The model has made headlines all on her own for her new product announcement, a waist chain that can hold your lip balm. Seems normal, right? Well, X users had some things to say.

Is that a tampon?
I hope you guys are thinking what I’m thinking… that Hailey Bieber’s latest product this looks a bit like a tampon. How did this get past her entire team, is my question?
In combination with the white bikini strings, you might have to look twice at this picture to understand what she’s really showing you.
it looks like a little p3nis

Not only does it look like a tampon holder, but some have also pointed out its rather… phallic imagery. This is not the first time that Hailey Bieber’s products have been called out for their sexual connotations, as her new phone case also took the internet by storm when it was announced.
A phone case, or media sensation?

While the internet may have mocked it for its ridiculousness, Hailey is laughing her way to the bank, as celebrities such as Charles Leclerc, Emilia Clarke and Alejandro Garnacho have been seen using it. Your average X user is still finding it hilarious, however, as its multifunctionality can be used… let’s just say creatively.

Some users have pointed out that you can literally get the same item for small, local businesses
Other criticisms of the product are that it is a “microtrend” and that “people will buy anything”.
Some also pointed that many small businesses also sell similar items with one X user instructing his followers to “just buy waist beads from your local black woman making them or find the small black businesses online”.
Is it all bad?
However, others have jumped to Hailey Bieber’s defence, saying that this tampon moment is just “epic marketing PR” and that the product is for “a photo shoot, not even for sale”. If this is true we applaud Hailey – in the celebrity world, there is apparently no such thing as bad press. This X war has definitely directed eyes and attention to her and her brand!
Whether it’s real or fake, we’re grateful for this drama because it’s given us iconic X moments such as these.

All in all, we’re just grateful to the internet for constantly giving us useless celeb drama to entertain ourselves with. Thanks guys x
