So, these are all the characters who had major development in Ginny and Georgia season three

Ginny and Georgia, for most of us, was a chill teen drama you could watch without engaging your brain too much. You might’ve just been there for Ginny’s cringe moments or Georgia’s amazing wardrobe. But season three was different.

This season was really hard to watch because the characters felt real. Their emotions felt real. And that made it hit harder. It was such a good season. The characters grew, and not just physically like Austin, but emotionally too.

So here are all the characters that had massive development in Ginny and Georgia season three:

Max

via Netflix

All I wanted to do this season was give Max a big hug and tell her, “You’re doing great. You’ll be okay.” Honestly, in seasons one and two, she could be a little much, kind of self-absorbed, kind of annoying. But this season, you could see her trying not to be that person. She didn’t always succeed, but the effort was there. That light switch scene gave me chills. She’s learning. She deserves happiness. I just really hope the writers give her that in season four.

Ginny

via Netflix

I fully expected Ginny to be her usual cringe self this season but wow, was I wrong. She grew so much. I loved how fiercely she stood up for Georgia. Georgia’s always been afraid Ginny might turn out like her but she won’t. Ginny is going to be better. She’s already better. So mature, and so grounded, thanks in large part to Georgia, whether she realises it or not.

Yes, she lost some of her signature sass and confidence at the beginning of the season. But that was the point. The fancy lawyer needed her to look vulnerable, like someone who couldn’t possibly be capable of murder. Even so, Georgia showed huge growth. For the first time, she knew exactly what she wanted, and even though she did her usual running away act, she came back. That’s growth. And anyway, it’s Georgia. I love her more every season.

Zion

via Netflix

I barely noticed Zion in the first two seasons. He was just… around. Kind of like how he was in Ginny’s life, there, but not really there. But in this season, even when I was mad at him for suddenly swooping in after 16 years and taking Ginny away, I got it. He finally showed up. He finally asked for joint custody. And he’s in a mature, respectful relationship now with Simone, who is an actual queen. Took him a while, but he’s growing up too.

Abby

Abby showed some real depth this season. She started figuring out what she wanted. We saw a more honest, vulnerable version of her. That said, she was terrible to Max. There was no excuse for the way she treated her. But Abby also set boundaries. She stopped letting people push her around. And that moment when she told Press, “God has a plan for me, and you’re not in it”? That was everything. Go off, Abby.

Paul

And then there’s Paul. Honestly, he went backwards. I liked him in the earlier seasons. He felt solid, reliable. But by the end of season three? Couldn’t stand him. Yes, he was hurt. Yes, Georgia lied. But the whole punching the wall thing? Nope. Not okay. Never will be. He had the opposite of character development. He went downhill.
