USA.- Joaquín Guzmán Lópezson of El Chapo Guzmán, appeared before a court in the United States and pleaded guilty to two charges of drug trafficking y racketeering for his participation in the Los Chapitos cell of the Sinaloa Cartel.
During the hearing in the Northern District Court of Illinois, he admitted before Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman, having participated, in 2024, in the kidnapping of Ismael El Mayo Zambada, to take him to US territory.
This confirmed that Guzman Lopez He is a cooperating witness for the US authorities, this could help him obtain a reduction in his sentence.
