This article contains spoilers for tonight’s episode of EastEnders, which airs on BBC One at 7.30pm or can be streamed on iPlayer now.
Sukeve fans, it may just be your lucky day! There’s signs of a potential reunion…
Of course, this is Albert Square, and it doesn’t come without some sort of trauma for one half of the couple.
Vile homophobe Jonno Highway (Richard Graham) has returned – and immediately launched a vicious verbal and physical attack on Eve Panesar-Unwin (Heather Peace).
Luckily, wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal) was on hand to support her, although you may be wondering how they ended up estranged in the first place.
Here’s a quick recap…
Why have Suki and Eve separated in EastEnders?
Last month, Suki was disowned by the entire Panesar-Gulati clan.

Avani (Aaliyah James) realised she was pregnant and wanted to have an abortion, terrified by the prospect of raising twisted Joel Marshall’s (Max Murray) child.
Suki proposed raising the child as her own, and when Eve found out, she was furious. Eventually she warmed to the idea of being a parent, something that had never been an option before.
However, Eve could also see how deeply troubled Avani was, clearly only going through with the deal to make Suki happy.
After a heart to heart, she had a termination. The two then revealed all to an enraged Ravi (Aaron Thiara) and Priya (Sophie Khan Levy) – just as Suki walked in.
Suki desperately tried to build bridges with her family, and Ravi was speechless. He had absolutely nothing to say to his step-mother, other than comparing her to his wicked, late father Nish (Navin Chowdhry).
Everyone then moved out, with Eve admitting that she didn’t have the words to be able to express her hurt.

Suki had opened her up to the hurt of believing that she could one day be a mother, and she didn’t know what they have left in their marriage.
Jonno Highway targets Eve
In today’s episode, a number of locals were enjoying a drink and a natter in The Prince Albert when Eve decided to depart.
Within seconds, a huge commotion could be heard from outside, with disgusting, homophobic language being used. Eve had been targeted.
Callum Highway (Tony Clay) rushed out to pull the man off her, not realising that it was his own dad.
For a moment, he seemed stunned, unsure of what to do next.

Jonno insisted that there was no ill-intention in his behaviour, but it was clear by his words towards Callum that he had purposely sought out to offend Eve.
When the reality hit Callum, who had finally seen his dad for the first time in 6 years, heeventually called for back up and Jonno was arrested.
Inside, Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) was given food for thought. He could see how much the relationship was strained between father and son, and wondered if there was anything he could do to repair it.
Speaking of relationships repairing…
Suki extends an olive branch
After spending weeks on the outer, Suki extended an olive branch and tried to make amends with Eve.

It was an incredibly awkward encounter, but one that had to be done.
Surprisingly, Eve was touched by her wife’s words, and although she said she wasn’t over the hurt, she was happy to have someone on her side.
The two then shared a loving smile, and it seemed that they were on the right path to recovery.
Is a proper Sukeve reunion on the cards?
