Supreme Fruits, from the Jerónimo Martins group, notified the Competition Authority (AdC) of the purchase of a set of assets belonging to Luís Vicente and Nuvi Industrial, the regulator announced today.
In a statement, the AdC said it had received prior notification of the company concentration operation on the 14th, which “consists of the acquisition, by Supreme Fruits, Lda., of exclusive control over a set of assets belonging to Luís Vicente, SA and Nuvi Industrial, SA”.
Controlled by the Jerónimo Martins group, which operates in the production, distribution and sale of food and other consumer products, Supreme Fruits develops its activity in the production of mandarins, nectarines, peaches and plums, including fruit processing and packaging.
The Luís Vicente assets acquired relate to the activity of importing, processing, storing and wholesale marketing of fresh fruit, including registered trademarks, workers and contracts.
In turn, Nuvi assets operate in the preparation, peeling and cutting of fruit products, as well as their pre-dehydration, dehydration and post-dehydration, packaging, packaging and marketing, including the purchase of the respective contracts, workers and equipment.
