RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – Richmond County investigators are searching for a suspect after a traffic stop turned violent.
He has been identified as Jerome Anthony Davis.
Deputies say they pulled Davis over on the 5700 block of Deans Bridge Road at Magnolia, south of Church Street, when he exited the vehicle, dropped a gun, picked it up, and fled into the woods.
Three gunshots were heard, it was later found to be from a nearby homeowner who reportedly saw the suspect flee.
Davis is charged with Felony Fleeing/Attempting to Elude, Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer and Failure to Signal.
