Does Peacemaker Season 2 have a secret? No, we’re not talking about those whispers of a hypothetical Superman (David Corenswet) cameo sometime in the last three episodes, but instead, a brand new character, rumored to appear sometime after Episode 5. And the person rumored to be playing this secret character is none other than Sydney Sweeney.
According to a spicy rumor from the fan account Everything_DCU, Sweeney will appear in Peacemaker Season 2 as someone who is involved with Auggie Smith (Robert Patrick), AKA Peacemaker’s dad, who is alive in the newly discovered alternate dimension. But could this rumor be true?

Is Sydney Sweeney really joining the DCU?
As of right now, this rumor is only coming from Everything_DCU and was echoed by the fan account Gunnverse on Instagram. Neither accounts seem like trolls at all, and generally, posts speculations or rumors that are somewhat reasonable. So, while there’s no way to know if this rumor is legit, yet, it’s not coming from bots or unreliable sources. These are fan accounts with pretty good reputations.
That said, these are still fan accounts. And when it comes to rumors on social media, and not from verifiable sources, the rumors shouldn’t be taken as any kind of confirmation. The leak describes Sweeney’s character as a “concubine” or “mistress” of Auggie, which suggests that we’ll learn a lot more about this version of Chris Smith’s father in the coming episodes.

According to actor Steve Agee, who plays John Economos in Peacemaker, the final three, extremely top-secret episodes of Peacemaker Season 2 are “like a whole new season.” Speaking to The Hollywood Reporterin August, Agee added, “They [the episodes] are absolutely insane.”
Does that insanity include Sydney Sweeney’s DCU debut? We’ll have to wait and see.
