September in South Africa is more than just the start of spring – it’s both Heritage Month and Tourism Month.
A time when South Africans get a chance to honour the country’s diverse culture, rich history, and breathtaking landscapes.
And to mark the occasion, the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) has launched the Local is Lekker – Heritage Edition Special, where citizens can experience the New 7 Wonder of Nature at an unbeatable price.
Special local rates for Heritage Month 2025
According to TMACC, from 1 to 30 September 2025, South Africans can take advantage of discounted cable car tickets for the Table Mountain cableway. These will be priced as follows:
- R250 per South African adult
- R100 per South African child
South African citizens can qualify for the deal by showing a valid South African ID.
Important information to know:
- Tickets are available online only.
- No tickets will be sold on the day of your visit.
- Tickets must be bought before the day you plan to go.
- Numbers are limited, so booking early is essential.
If you’ve never made the trip to the top of Table Mountain, now’s the perfect time. The cable car ride alone offers panoramic views of Cape Town, Robben Island, and the Atlantic Ocean. Once you’re at the summit, you can explore hiking trails, spot unique flora and fauna, enjoy a meal or simply soak up the unforgettable views.
