Target continues to make major changes at its stores affecting its most loyal customers.
First, the retail giant announced it’s doing away with price matching competitors such as Walmart and Amazon, and Target now only only price matches other Target locations or Target.com.
The major change drew mixed reaction.
Nevertheless, major changes continue to be on the way. Target and Ulta Beauty on Thursday announced that they have mutually agreed not to renew the Ulta Beauty at Target shop-in-shop partnership when the current agreement ends in August 2026.

Ulta Beauty, which sells skin care products, perfumes, makeup, hygiene products and so much more, launched inside Target locations in 2021. Target and beauty customers enjoyed the synergy for all these years, and the ability to link their Ulta Beauty Rewards with Target Circle accounts brought an added convenience.
Guests with linked rewards accounts will continue to earn Ulta Beauty Rewards on eligible Ulta Beauty at Target purchases until August 2026.
Target customers have gotten accustomed to seeing the Ulta Beauty section inside Targets. They’ve become synonymous, almost like Starbucks inside Target locations.
It’s unclear why the retail giant and the largest U.S. specialty beauty retailer are ending the partnership, but they vow to provide a seamless shopping experience and product availability through the end of the partnership.
