Tasha has revealed where she and Andrew stand now after their very messy breakup

Tasha Ghouri has spoken out about her breakup with Andrew Le Page in detail in a raw new interview, and she opened up about where they stand now.

Speaking on Rylan Clarke’s BBC podcast How to Be in Love, the Love Islander revealed: “We’re not on speaking terms and that’s the saddest part. That’s the most saddest part about all of this.”

However, she hopes they will get back in contact again soon because they never had that “closure” chat, which she thinks they both need.

“I feel like we never had that closing chapter. You know, when you have that last chat and you have that closure, we didn’t have that. And I feel like that’s kind of lingering. I’m sure one day we will have that closure chat,” the 26-year-old said.

“He was also my best friend at the time. He was everything. So I really hope one day, when things have settled and we have time to grieve, we have time to look back on stuff, I really hope one day we can get back in touch and find that civilness.”

The pair broke up while she was on Strictly Come Dancing, and Tasha revealed “laziness” was the thing that “killed their relationship”.

“I’m not saying laziness in terms of in yourself. Laziness in terms of if you stop showing up for that person that can really kill a relationship. And I felt like I got to a point where I had to beg for affection, just simple things, like flowers, simple things, or like me, cards,” she explained.

“I love Christmas cards, birthday cards, like the littlest things. And I stopped getting them, even my birthdays, Christmases, and for me, smallest things mean the biggest things. And it got to a point where I felt like I was generally having to draw it out of him.”

Tasha said it looked like Andrew was supporting her on social media, but he wasn’t behind closed doors. During the final days of their relationship, she called him because she felt nervous for the dance-off and wanted some reassurance, and he “didn’t stop gaming, didn’t put his console down, or take his headphones off”.

“And that’s kind of where I started to really think, I deserve better than that. You know, I think that’s where I started to really think, why am I settling for something that I’m having to really beg for?” she said.

However, Tasha does regret the way she treated him during the breakup, saying she should have been a lot “nicer” despite feeling hurt.
