Travis Kelce recently revealed that he made girlfriend Taylor Swift “a football fan,” but the “So High School” singer was shockingly clueless about the sport prior to their first date.
“On our first date, I legitimately asked him what it was like when the Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl and he looked across the field, across the line of scrimmage, and saw his brother standing on the other, like, five feet in front of him on the field,” Taylor, 35, told Jason Kelce during her August 13 appearance on the brothers’ “New Heights” podcast.
“He didn’t even look at me,” she continued. “He was like, ‘Actually, I’m on the offense. And my brother is on the offense. I’m only on the field at the same time as the defense.”
The Grammy winner — who made her podcast debut on her boyfriend’s show — whispered, “I thought everyone was on the field at the same time.”
In Taylor’s version of the game, the quarterback from each team is on the field at the same time, going head to head.
“I thought it was like, Jared Goff is here. And Josh Allen is here,” Taylor said, using her fingers as QBs.
Travis, also 35, joking called on NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to make some changes.

“I’ve got some ideas. I’ve got some thoughts,” she added. “I didn’t know what a first down was. I didn’t know what the chains were. I didn’t know what a tight end was.”
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end thanked his girlfriend of two years for “diving into the football world.”
According to Taylor, she “became obsessed with it.”
