Teasdale Foods company announced recall of taco dinner kits in 28 states because they may contain undeclared milkaccording to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Milk is one of the most common allergens that cause food poisoning in the US, according to the FDA. People who are allergic or severely sensitive to milk are at risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The recall of this product has been initiated in 28 states and affects Giant, Martin’s and Aldi stores. The action was taken after the company received customer reports about the Taco Dinner Kits product.. The main complaint indicated a labeling and content issue:
- Content Error: The kits contained milk cocoa packets instead of the usual taco seasoning.
- Allergy Risk: These containers did not declare the presence of milk, which represents a serious risk for people with allergies or sensitivity to this allergen.
Investigations determined that the issue was due to incorrect labeling of taco seasoning packets by the third-party supplier.
