AGUASCALIENTES.- Ángela Gabriela Muñoz Téllez, 15 years oldreported as missing since October 1, 2025 in Aguascalienteswas found dead in the state of Queretaro.
According to official investigations, a man, through social networks, tricked her into going with him to that entity, where he allegedly murdered her.
On Monday, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reported that, after conducting investigations, The alleged perpetrator of the homicide was identified and located of the teenager, who “When he was cornered by the authorities of both states, he decided to take his own life”.
Ángela Gabriela’s body was found burned inside a dairy in a hilly area of the community in Fuentezuelas, in the municipality of Tequisquiapan, Querétaro, on October 13, but until this Monday with DNA results his identity was confirmed.
Investigations determined that the alleged aggressor, identified as Miguel Ángel, 33 years oldcontacted the minor through social networks and convinced her to meet him in the central area of this city and later they boarded a silver gray Mazda vehicle, with Guanajuato license plates, in which they left Aguascalientes.
The FGE reported that, based on the description of the vehicle and the license plates, tracking efforts were activated using C5i technology and the collaboration of authorities from neighboring entities.
Besides, The minor’s mother provided a telephone number found among Angela’s belongings, which allowed the subject to be located in Querétaro.
With the information collected, a judge granted a search warrant at Miguel Ángel’s house, located in the community Bordo Blanco, in Tequisquiapanwhere he shot himself in the head in the presence of his wife, whom he had previously taken hostage when he was surrounded by security agents.
The prosecutor’s office stated that the young woman left voluntarily.
The president of the Observatory of Social and Gender Violence of Aguascalientes, Mariana Ávila, pointed out that the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) acted late in the activation of Alba Protocol for the location of the adolescent.
He recalled that given the lack of response and concrete actions by the authorities, his family demonstrated at the Municipal Palace, denouncing that The FGE assured that the minor had left of her own free will with a man older than her. With this, he added, the prosecution delayed the activation of the Alba Protocol, and showed the lack of commitment of the senior official of our entity to training in human rights and gender perspective for all the operators of the institutions.
