Ten people have been hospitalized, nine of them in serious conditionafter a knife attack on Saturday night aboard a train in the region of Cambridgein the east of England, reported the British transport police.
There is at least two arrested for assaultwhose identity or motives are currently unknown.
The Secretary of the Interior, Shabana Mahmood, confirmed the arrest of these two people and asked the public to “avoid comments and speculation at this preliminary stage.”

For his part, the head of the Interior of the conservative opposition, Chris Philp, described the event as “a “brutal mass attack” and demanded that the police provide information immediately, something that is taking time to do beyond confirming the two arrests.
Sky News broadcaster interviewed a witness who described one of the attackers as a black man dressed completely in blackwith a hood, who shouted: Get down! On the ground!, while brandishing a long-bladed knife, before being subdued with a taser by the police.
The train, an East of England regional route (LNER) convoy, had left the north of England and was heading towards King’s Cross station in London, and its stop at Huntingdon It was not planned, but was forced due to the alarm created by the attack.

Witnesses questioned by the newspaper The Times They reported seeing a man armed with a large knife and passengers hiding in the train bathrooms to protect themselves. A witness said he saw “blood everywhere.”
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmerhas defined the incident as “deeply worrying” and has asked citizens to follow the instructions of the police.
