The armed wing of Hamas will return the remains of two other hostages to Israel tonight

Las Brigades of Al Qasam, the armed arm of Hamas has announced that it will hand over at 9:00 p.m. local time (8:00 p.m. Spanish time) tonight Israelthrough the Red Cross Committee, the bodies of two other hostages as part of the ceasefire agreement, as reported in a statement.

In Gaza the bodies of 15 kidnapped captives by the Palestinian militias during the attacks of October 7, 2023.

The day before, Hamas returned the remains of Tal Haimi, a commander of the emergency team of Nir Yitzhak, the kibbutz where he lived and where he was murdered on October 7 during the attack by the terrorist group.

His family initially believed him to be alive, but received news of his death in December 2023, as detailed by the Forum of Families of Hostages and Missing Persons in another statement.

Hamas has expressed the difficulties that are being encountered in locating the bodies of the hostages for the destruction and devastation in Gaza after two years of Israeli bombings, in addition to denouncing the lack of heavy machinery to carry out these tasks.

The deliveries of these bodies coincide with the trip of the vice president of the United States, J.D. Vancewho plans to meet this Tuesday with the prime minister Benjamin Netanyahuin Jerusalem to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.

The pact, promoted by the United States and which came into force on October 10, contemplates the return of bodies of deceased hostages still held in Gaza, progress towards the dismantling of the Islamist group and the definition of who will administer the enclave.
