The chilling detail Amy Bradley Is Missing left out about bass player ‘Yellow’ Douglas

Netflix’s new documentary Amy Bradley Is Missing has captured the world, but it left out a chilling detail about the bass player Alister “Yellow” Douglas.

The three-part series investigates the disappearance of the 23-year-old who went missing on a Caribbean cruise in 1998, and her whereabouts are still unknown.

One person who features heavily in the documentary is Alister “Yellow” Douglas, the bass player who was seen dancing with Amy in the ship’s nightclub before he went missing.

Yellow has denied any involvement in Amy’s disappearance, but there is one suspicious detail that the Netflix documentary left out about the entertainer on board the Rhapsody of the Seas cruise ship.

When questioned, Amy’s brother Brad reportedly claimed Yellow came up to him on the pool deck shortly after she disappeared and said: “Hey man, I’m sorry to hear about your sister.”

According to a 1999 report in the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Yellow asked what happened to Amy and then told Brad to wait while he got a friend to listen too.

Brad claimed that Yellow told him he was feeling “guilty,” and the whole experience was “just odd”. At the time, only the captain and the family knew about her disappearance and no announcement had been made yet.

When they got home, the Bradley family then found a post on a cruise-ship computer bulletin board from another passenger on board Rhapsody of the Seas warning female passengers to stay away from Yellow.

Soon after her disappearance, the FBI interviewed Douglas and he underwent a lie detector test, which he passed. Amy’s dad said he “came out of the interview smiling, with his thumbs up to his band members, like everything’s cool.”

Alister has kept a low profile since Amy went missing, but lives in Grenada. He is “an exorcist” and reverend who runs a church of 40 to 50 people, which is a “little shack on the side of a mountain”.
