The number of deaths due to the intense rains and floods recorded two weeks ago in five states of the country rose to 82, according to the microsite created by the Government of Mexico to report on the progress in addressing the effects.
In Veracruz there are 36 deaths, 22 in Hidalgo, 23 in Puebla, and in Querétaro one death is registered. San Luis Potosí does not register deaths. In addition, it is indicated that the number of people not located is 17.
Last Monday, Ariadna Montiel, head of the Ministry of Welfare, reported that 103,245 homes have been censused after the rains and floods in Puebla, Veracruz, Hidalgo, Querétaro and San Luis Potosí.
In a morning presidential conference, Ariadna Montiel indicated that 70,356 people have already received their first support of 20,000 pesos in the five states, to advance in the repair of their homes.
