Emma has revealed the weird text message Harry sent her before he jetted off to the Love Island villa in June. Um, Harry really is a unique individual.
For context, Emma and Harry were together for approximately three or four years, from around 2021 to 2024. They were reportedly sharing a house in December 2024. Harry told Helena he cheated on Emma within the first week of their relationship, but then they were “together for almost three years after that”. Emma, however, accused him of cheating after that. She said: “Harry and I had been together for four years, but unfortunately we broke up because he was misbehaving.”
They seem to have been in touch right up until June 2025, though. Harry posted her a handwritten letter in February about how he would always be there for her. Then Harry sent Emma a very strange text before he went into the Love Island villa.
Emma revealed on the Spill With Will podcast: “He sent me the weirdest text right before he went into holding. And he basically said, ‘Ah, you won’t be able to contact me for the summer. Please get hold of my mum if you need anything.’”
Sorry, but why is that giving the vibe of on automated out of office email?
Emma’s initial assumption of where Harry might be off to turned out to be wildly wrong. She explained: “I thought, ‘Oh, he’s going to rehab. He’s checked into a wellness centre.’ How wrong was I?”
Emma says she had no idea Harry was really going on Love Island until she saw the Instagram posts announcing the cast at the start of June.

“I wasn’t shocked, you know,” she said, “I felt like, ‘This is a bit of him. He’d be the perfect candidate.’ And he has been. Look, he’s carried the show on his back. Let’s be honest.”

Emma also denied fans’ theories that she had a “game plan” to rekindle her romance with Harry and win the show. She claims the producers encouraged her to speak to Harry a lot. Apparently she and Harry “didn’t have anything to talk about”, so they made “unserious” jokes about winning the show.
