The French Police arrest a third suspect in Paris for the theft of jewelry at the Louvre Museum

The Paris Police have arrested a third person for the filmic jewelry theft at the Louvre Museum on October 19. According to the BFMTV network, the suspect was arrested on Wednesday night in the Paris region and is in the custody of investigators for questioning.

On Wednesday, a judge also decreed provisional prison for the other two detainees. According to the Paris Prosecutor’s Office, both were formally accused of “robbery in an organized gang and association of criminals with a view to committing a crime”, charges that can carry up to 15 and 10 years in prison, respectively.
