The golden-masked VIPs in Squid Game season three have finally been unmasked

Squid Game is officially over, and its wild ending has left everyone shocked, saddened, and a little bit frustrated. But what annoyed people (read: Me) the most were the super irritating VIPs this season. Not only were they paying to watch people die, but their dialogue, acting, and delivery were downright cringeworthy. Every time they appeared on screen, I couldn’t help but wince. They felt like a human version of ChatGPT gone wrong.

So, who exactly are the actors behind those infamous masks? Here’s a look at all the VIPs from Squid Game season three, unmasked:

David Sayers

David Sayers, a British actor originally from Hastings, has worked in theatre productions both in the UK and abroad. His recent on-screen roles include appearances in short films and the Hindi-language crime thriller Operation Mayfair. In Squid Game, he played the VIP who almost got killed during the hide and seek game.

Jane Wong

Hong Kong-born actress Jane Wong portrayed the only female VIP in season three. She is known for her roles in local action and crime dramas such as Raging Fire and Bursting Point. Her casting added some gender diversity to a group that is otherwise male-dominated, though her character was just as ruthless, brutal and detached as the others.

Bryan Bucco

Bryan Bucco is an American actor from New Jersey. His Backstage profile lists him as conversational in Korean, and according to his LinkedIn page, he previously taught English in South Korea. His background likely helped him adjust to the South Korean production setting, even if his role required more presence than dialogue. He was the VIP who bet on 222 during the game.

Jordan Lambertoni

Jordan Lambertoni, originally from France, has acting experience in Korean film as well. He recently played an Olympic archer in the movie Amazon Bullseye. Like Bucco, he also speaks Korean, which may have helped during filming. He was the French VIP in Squid Game season three.

Kevin Yorn

One of the most surprising cast members is Kevin Yorn, an American entertainment lawyer who represents Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk. According to Deadline, Yorn and Hwang began working together in 2022 following the global success of the first season. Though not an actor by profession, Yorn made an appearance as one of the gold-masked VIPs.
