Masters viewers will officially have another way to watch the prestigious tournament in 2026.
In news that no doubt shocked a great number of golf aficionados, Fred Ridley, the chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament, announced Tuesday that Amazon Prime Video will be included as a broadcaster for the 2026 Masters next April.
The streaming giant will join CBS Sports and ESPN in bringing fans the action from Augusta, though Amazon will only be involved on the first two days of the tournament.
“Working alongside Amazon in this capacity is an exciting opportunity for the Masters Tournament and its fans,” said Ridley. “We are proud of our longstanding partnerships with CBS Sports and ESPN, who have set the highest standard for broadcast coverage of the Masters. The addition of Amazon will only further our abilities to expand and enhance how the Tournament is presented and enjoyed.”
How it works
The Masters is all about tradition, so it is a little jarring to see it embracing streaming in this manner.
During the first two rounds of the Masters on Thursday and Friday, Amazon Prime Video will provide two hours of additional coverage, running from 1 p.m. ET to 3 p.m. ET.
That two-hour block is designed to fill a gap in coverage, with ESPN taking over from a 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. as usual.
CBS will continue broadcasting the final two rounds from 2 p.m. ET to 7 p.m. ET on Saturday and Sunday. Prior to 2 p.m. on those days, Paramount+ will stream early coverage.

A massive increase in quantity of coverage
Today’s announcement means that the 2026 Masters will have 27 hours of broadcast coverage across all platforms. As Josh Carpenter of Sports Business Journal writes, that’s a 50% increase from 2024, when there were 18 hours available for viewers to consume.
Masters.com will also continue with its streaming of the event, alongside Amazon Prime Video, ESPN, Paramount+ and CBS.
When is the 2026 Masters?
The 2026 Masters is scheduled for April 6-12, 2026 at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia.
First round play will begin Thursday, April 9.
