With the purpose of strengthening Mexican traditions and promoting community coexistence, the mayor Adolfo Cerqueda Rebollo announced that the Nezamictlán Day of the Dead Festival 2025 It will feature the participation of the Indian Embassy in Mexico, the Monumental Banda Oaxaqueña and the singer Na Lucy, in addition to cultural, artistic and gastronomic activities that will take place from October 31 to November 2.
The Indian Embassy will participate on October 31 at 11:00 a.m. on the Esplanade of the Municipal Palace with the presentation “The vision of death in India and Mexico, similarities and differences.” On November 1, the traditional Caravan of Catrinas and Catrines will be held on Chimalhuacán Avenue, which will include the Oaxacan exhibition Camino de los Muertos, with ornamental mats and musical bands.
There will also be a concert by the Monumental Banda Oaxaqueña, made up of groups such as Aires Serranos, among others. The mayor invited the population to participate in the activities and keep the tradition of the Day of the Dead.
