The occupation assaults two young men in Jerusalem and continues its incursions into the West Bank news

An Al Jazeera correspondent reported that, on Tuesday evening, the Israeli occupation forces assaulted two young men in Jerusalem and arrested one of them, at a time when they continued their incursions into the occupied West Bank and their attacks on the Palestinians.

The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that the occupation forces stormed the town of Al-Ram, north of Jerusalem. The Jerusalem Governorate reported that large forces from the occupation army stormed the town, searched vehicles, and obstructed traffic.

Security sources reported to Wafa Agency that a group of settlers attacked the outskirts of the village of Barqa, east of Ramallah, attempted to storm the village, and then withdrew from the area without any injuries or material damage reported.

On Tuesday evening, the Israeli occupation forces set up a military checkpoint in the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem. Meanwhile, the occupation forces moved a military checkpoint at the Al-Balou’ Triangle between the Old and New City, stopped vehicles, searched them, and checked citizens’ identities.

The Israeli occupation forces stormed the village of Dura al-Qara, north of Ramallah, and security sources reported that Israeli military vehicles stormed several neighborhoods in the village, without any injuries or arrests being reported, according to Wafa Agency.

Also in news of the raids, the occupation stormed the village of Burin, south of the city of Nablus, and local sources reported that military vehicles belonging to the occupation raided the village, and soldiers set up a barrier at one of its entrances, and prevented citizens’ vehicles from passing.

The sources reported that the occupation forces forced shop owners to close their doors, and also evacuated two families from their homes and turned them into military barracks.

In the same context, local sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces raided a number of citizens’ homes during their storming of the Kafr Saba neighborhood in the city of Qalqilya in the north of the occupied West Bank, at the same time that they stormed the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, in the south of the West Bank.

The West Bank has witnessed a widespread escalation by the Israeli army and settlers since the war of extermination in Gaza about two years ago, in which 1,057 Palestinians were martyred and 10,000 others were injured, while Israeli forces arrested more than 20,000 Palestinians, including 1,600 children, according to official Palestinian data.

The war of extermination launched by Israel, with American support, on October 8, 2023 against the Gaza Strip, resulted in the martyrdom of 68,229 Palestinians, and the injury of 170,369 others, in addition to the destruction of about 90% of the civilian infrastructure in the Strip.
