The occupation forces stormed large cities and towns in the West Bank – at dawn on Saturday – in parallel with targeting their soldiers with a homemade device during the storming of the old Askar camp in Nablus, according to local sources.
The Israeli army stormed the old Askar camp, east of Nablus, firing sound bombs. It also stormed the town of Ya`bad (west of Jenin) and the town of Barqa (east of Ramallah), firing live bullets in the center of the town.
Local sources said that the occupation soldiers fired a light bomb at Jabal al-Nasr in Nour Shams camp (east of Tulkarm) in the north of the West Bank during the storming operation, and raided citizens’ homes during their storming of the town of Ya’bad and Al-Far’a camp (south of Tubas) in the north of the occupied West Bank.
In conjunction with the war of extermination in Gaza, the Israeli army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, resulting in the death of 1,062 Palestinians and the injury of about 10,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 20,000 people, including 1,600 children.
Settler attacks
Yesterday, settlers attacked 3 Palestinian towns (north of the West Bank) as part of a series of continuous and escalating attacks since the start of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip more than two years ago.
In the town of Huwwara (south of Nablus), settlers attacked the home of citizen Abdel Hakim Amer Deek (in the Ras Zaid area of the town), and the residents confronted them, according to what the official Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported.
In the nearby town of Beita, a group of settlers attacked Palestinian homes in the Al-Dhahra area of the town, targeting them with stones, which led to smashing the windows of a vehicle, and the residents confronted them.
In the town of Beit Lid (east of Tulkarm), settlers set fire to a vehicle and an agricultural tractor, after storming the outskirts of the town. The residents tried to confront them, but the Israeli army intervened to protect the settlers, according to Wafa.
Yesterday, the Israeli authorities seized about 6 dunams of Palestinian land in the town of Anata (northeast of occupied Jerusalem) to establish a new settlement road.
For its part, the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority said that the occupation authorities today seized 5 dunams and 856 square meters of citizens’ land from the town of Anata in the Jerusalem Governorate.
This governmental body indicated that this was done through a military order under the name “Seizure of Hand” bearing the number T/65/25, and explained that this measure aims to establish a settlement road linking the Neve Prat settlement with Road No. 437 in order to serve the settlers.
During the past two years, settlers carried out 7,154 attacks against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, causing the death of 33 citizens and the displacement of 33 Palestinian Bedouin communities. They also established 114 settlement outposts, according to data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
