Mexico City, October 31 (However).- Group Televisa announced that the businessman Eduardo Tricio Haro, president of the Board of Directors of Lala, acquired the 7.2 percent of the capital social of the company, making it one of the main shareholders.
In a statement sent to the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) on October 30, the television stressed that the investor expressed that “he has no intention of acquiring significant influence in the company.”
With the notice sent by Televisa to the BMV about the acquisition made by Tricio Haro, the provisions of article 110 of the Securities Market Law were complied with.
It is important to note that, with the purchase of 7.2 percent of the share capital, the businessman becomes the fifth shareholder with the largest participation in the company.
Eduardo Tricio is currently the president of the Board of Directors of Grupo Lala, a company specialized in the marketing of dairy products, considered one of the most present in the country.
Television company does not know the cause of the unusual movements
Grupo Televisa informed the BMV that it does not know the causes of the unusual movements in the trading volume of the securities identified with the ticker symbol TLEVISA CPO, registered on October 30.
The television station stressed that, with the exception of the purchase made by Eduardo Tricio, “it is not aware that the shareholders, directors, relevant executives of the Company or the Company itself, through the repurchase fund, had carried out operations with securities issued by the Company.”
This clarification is given at the request of the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), based on the provisions of article 106 of the Securities Market Law and article 50, last paragraph, of the general provisions applicable to securities issuers and other participants in the securities market.
