The Rocky Horror Picture Show returns to the cinema to celebrate its 50th anniversary

First released in 1975, the film quickly became much more than just a musical and launched a unique subcultural movement.

Mexico City, October 29 (However).- The Rocky Horror Picture Showthe most popular cult classic of all time that defied genres, transformed the midnight movie and inspired a global phenomenon, turns 50 and returns to theaters with a restored and remastered in 4K Ultra HD, this Thursday, October 30.

Based on the musical play by Richard O’Brien—written by O’Brien and director Jim Sharman, and produced by Lou Adler and Michael White— The Rocky Horror Picture Show broke all the molds with its unforgettable characters, extravagant costumes and a bold rock & roll soundtrack.

What is it about?

When a newly engaged couple’s (Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon) car breaks down on a rainy night, they end up at the spooky castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry). There they will live an adventure that will excite you, shake you and make you vibrate like never before.
