The Salt Path author’s been dropped from this major project after the bombshell allegations

Sally and Tim Walker, best known as Raynor Winn and Moth, are in the midst of a huge controversial saga after The Observer published an investigation accusing their real life, “true story” best selling book The Salt Path of being based “on lies”. The scandal has made headlines after the investigation sees Sally Walker accused of embezzlement, taking £64,000 from her former employer and also that her husband Tim and his CBD illness receiving allegations of not being as severe as she made out. Sally and Tim Walker have maintained via a statement from their legal team that The Salt Path is accurate. But that statement has not been enough to see them maintain their connection with a charity, who have now released a statement that it is severing all ties with The Salt Path author seeing them dropped in the wake of the backlash.

A healthcare charity have released a damning statement

In the wake of The Observer story rocking the world, going viral and throwing the entire The Salt Path success and phenomenon into chaos, healthcare charity PSPA released an official statement on where it stands with Sally and Tim Walker after the allegations.

Questions have been raised about Tim Walker’s debilitating illness, corticobasal degeneration [CBD], a rare neurological condition in the same family as Parkinson’s disease, which is an integral part of the book. These doubts occurred because the life expectancy after diagnosis with CBD is six to eight years, but Walker has had it for 18 with no visible symptoms.

Tim and Sally Walker – aka, Moth and Raynor Winn

The statement declaring The Salt Path author dropped from PSPA reads: “We were shocked and disappointed to learn of the allegations made about Raynor and Moth Winn by The Observer this weekend. We know the article has taken everyone by surprise and has made people affected by Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD) and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) feel angry, let down and eager for clarity.

“Raynor and Moth worked with many individuals and organisations since their first book was published, including PSPA. We received the family’s need for support, and desire to raise awareness of PSP & CBD in good faith. Whilst we are thankful for the awareness opportunities their story has provided; too many questions currently remain unanswered.

“Therefore, we have made the decision to terminate our relationship with the family. In the meantime, we want to reassure supporters that any fundraising Raynor and Moth conducted for PSPA was via official platforms such as JustGiving and monies raised have been received in full by the charity. Our Helpline is here to support you by providing a listening ear should you wish to talk.”

Sally and Tim Walker have only released the following statement in response, saying via their legal team “The Salt Path lays bare the physical and spiritual journey Moth and I shared, an experience that transformed us completely and altered the course of our lives. This is the true story of our journey.”
