In an official statement, the SSC detailed that the authorities became “aware of a property located in the streets of the San Miguel Teotongo neighborhood, which was apparently used for the storage and packaging of drugs, for which various investigation techniques were carried out.”
“This is how sufficient and robust evidence was gathered, which was delivered to an agent of the Public Ministry who requested and obtained from a Control Judge, the ministerial order to intervene in the property located on Capulín Avenue and the closed Vicente Guerrero Avenue, where action was taken without the use of violence and in strict accordance with police action protocols,” the agency noted.

In this operation, 10 packages made in the shape of a partition with cinnamon and sand tape were seized, weighing approximately one kilogram and containing a substance with characteristics similar to cocaine, two firearms, two magazines and useful cartridges. In addition, the two men, ages 32 and 43, were arrested.
When cross-referencing information, it was learned that the detainees are possibly part of the Tláhuac Cartel, a criminal group that operates mainly in the Tláhuac and Iztapalapa municipalities, dedicated to the sale and distribution of narcotics, extortion and homicide.
The detainees, along with the drugs (valued at two million 300 thousand pesos) and the rest of the seized material, were placed at the disposal of the corresponding Public Ministry, where their legal status will be determined.
“It is worth mentioning that the people mentioned in this statement are considered innocent and will be treated as such in all stages of the procedure, as long as their responsibility is not declared by a sentence issued by the Jurisdictional Body in terms of the national code of criminal procedures,” the institution said.
