For far too long now, live viewing events have almost been exclusively gatekept for sport.
Whether it be the World Cup or Wimbledon, society has deemed it unacceptable for the finales of reality TV series to be shown live in pubs.
But as the final of the fourth series of The Traitors looms, the tide finally appears to be changing.
The launch show of the fourth regular series, which aired on New Years Day, was watched live by a whopping average of 6.4million people.
Now, following several calls from Traitors fans to air the BBC series live publicly, viewers will now be able to enjoy some roundtable drama alongside other people.
From pubs to cinemas, Metro has put together a list of venues that are hosting screenings.
With a prize of up to £120,000, not even Claudia Winkleman’s soothing yet spooky presence will be able to alleviate the tension in Friday night’s final.

Wilf Webster lost the inaugural BBC run right at the bitter end, but speaking to Metro exclusively, the former Traitor believes it will only be so long before Stephen surprises us all by planting a dagger in his chum’s back.
‘He’s such a lovely person and we love him, but I think that’s going to be the big shock factor,’ Wilf told us.
The Traitors returns on Wednesday on BBC One at 8pm.
