Everyone here at Men’s Journal is super stoked to get behind the wheels of the new Scout Motors Terra Truck and Traveler SUV and put them through their paces. But just like the rest of the world, we have to wait until the 2027 launch. Thankfully, Scout and Vero have partnered to give us a little wrist candy to whet our appetites. These two watches—the Terra Cotta Workhorse and Moonstone Blue Workhorse—take Vero’s popular chrono design and add an off-road vibe with two of Scout’s most iconic colors.

Both watches offer a 120 meter water-resistant, 44.5mm stainless steel case with a scratch-resistant, color-tinted cerakote (ceramic-based) coating. The architecture uses left-handed crown and chrono pushers with a dive-style, inner rotating bezel controlled via another crown at 2 o’clock. The pieces are guarded with protective steel bullhorns on both the top and bottom as well as an anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal.

Inside each, a Miyota 6S21 quartz movement runs the show with chronograph hand with quick reset. The calibre is capable of timing events for up to an hour and is accurate to +/-20 seconds per month.

The Terra Cotta’s orange scheme was inspired by the classic Scout II color code 2297. The warm tone is meant to represent open terrain and trail markers. Paired with a black dial, matching pushers and bullhorns, the contrast adds a bit of punch to the design. Silverhands and markers boost legibility, while the two-tone orange and black woven, velcro strap amplifies the Terra Cotta’s off-road spirit.

The Moonstone Blue’s navy case serves as an homage to the OG color code 6606 of the same name, which dates back to 1965 and the Scout 80. The matching dial is accented with bright red pushers and bezel markings for functionality and a design flourish. A blue, woven textile, velcro strap builds on the utilitarian look and feel.

Both the Vero X Scout Motors Terra Cotta Workhorse and Moonstone Blue Workhorse are limited to 500 pieces each and are available at vero-watch.com for $450.
