KANASÍN, Yucatán.— A male person was found dead in a Kanasin vacant lot in the morning hours of this Friday.
Fredy A. would be the name of the deceased, approximately 70 years old, who had been missing for three days, and until this morning his body was found on a property on 23rd Street between 34 and 34-A in this municipality.
Relatives of the deceased explained that the man worked in a workshop near that address; They added that three days ago, their relative left his workplace to go get some things he needed, but he did not return and they had not seen him since. “Today a person ran across and found him there, because of the smell,” commented a person who was at the scene.
The man, apparently, had been dead for the same amount of time, three days, since the body was already in a visible state of decomposition. The police secured the area and informed the State Attorney General’s Office.

Police officers arrived at the scene. State Investigation Police (PEI) who carried out the corresponding procedures to find evidence that helps clarify the death of this man.
The Prosecutor’s Office carried out the procedures to remove the body, which already showed signs of having been fed to wildlife.
