Supported by Section 67 of the National Union of Workers of the Ministry of Health (Santa), staff of the Mérida Urban Health Center held a new demonstration yesterday to demand the dismissal of Mario Cuevas Tzuc as director of this clinic.

It was decided that Dr. Cuevas Tzuc would continue in office, but he could no longer address the workers or make decisions about them.
The head of the center would only be in charge of purely administrative matters such as signatures, payments, among other tasks, so the responsibility practically fell on Dr. Nehemías Canul Pech.
The workers pointed out during the protest that this agreement is not being respected despite the fact that the head of health jurisdiction one, Miguel Moreno Camelosigned a letter.
The protesters expressed that the harassment, harassment and threats continue, and Cuevas Tzuc boasts that “he has the full support of the governor”as Díaz Mena highlighted in a “morning session.”
There was also a woman in a wheelchair at the protest, who said that the one with the initials Y. S. G., indicated that the director I would have called him “rubbed furniture” due to his physical condition. In addition, he accused her of recording a problem that occurred at the clinic.
“As you can see, my condition does not allow me to be recording,” the woman stressed.
Likewise, he shared that he attended a hearing with the governor to expose the case and the violence he has suffered, so Díaz Mena is aware, but even so, the necessary investigations are not being carried out to remove Dr. Cuevas Tzuc.
The investigations against the director will begin at the end of November, “while the victims are living with the aggressor,” said a nurse.
The staff will continue the protests, although without affecting the medical service.
