TEKAX, Yucatán.— Elements of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) located safe and sound two people that remained lost since last sunday mountains of the municipality of Tekax.
These are RBM, 47 years old, and his wife VBN, 37 years old, who were found after a search operation coordinated by SSP personnel, in collaboration with the Tekax Municipal Police and residents of the Pocoboch police station.
They report the disappearance of the couple
The SSP learned of the incident on Monday the 20th, when a relative reported the disappearance of the couple, who had gone into the mountains for hunting purposes.
Immediately a deployment of police, firefighters and paramedics assigned to Comprehensive Public Security Center (CISP) of Tekax, extending the search to the mountains of the town of Popoláwhere they were found.
The paramedics evaluated the people, who showed signs of moderate dehydration, so, as they did not require hospital transfer, they were taken back to their home.
The Ministry of Public Security urges the population to inform family members or local authorities before entering rural or difficult-to-access areas, and to immediately report any emergency to the 9-1-1 number.
