MEXICO CITY. – After a month of the death of Beto Ávilavocalist of the International Wet Groupin a road accident on the Toluca–Tenango del Valle highway, his companions announced a series of tributes in his honor.
In interview with IT JUST IS!Jonathan Gil, a member of the group, pointed out that they recorded the Intocable song, “El Amigo que se Fue” to the rhythm of cumbia grupera, in addition to planning an event with collaborations from several artists and groups friends of Beto, among which Yaguarú and Rodrigo Lozano, former member of the Orquesta La Típica, will participate.
“The idea is to have a dance and raise funds to help Beto’s mother, because he was the one who took care of her and supported her,” he explained.
Likewise, they will do 10 collaborations with different groups and they will choose a name for the show as a tribute to Beto Ávila.
Finally, he mentioned that the group is not disintegrating and that César Iván, who was part of the original group of Wet.
