In a statement published this Saturday, the Navy announced that it carried out an operation in a hazardous waste management company located in the municipality of Perote, Veracruz, which was allegedly used as a facade for the storage and sale of huachicol.

As a result of this action, authorities detained eight people who were inside the company’s facilities, while seizing 250 thousand liters of illegal fuel, worth almost 250 million pesos.

Authorities also seized 12 pipes of different capacities, a property, several electronic devices and various documentation. The detained subjects, as well as everything confiscated, were placed at the disposal of the corresponding Public Ministry agent, who will determine their legal situation.
