This Love Is Blind deleted scene reveals a major red flag in Ali and Anton’s relationship

Ali and Anton’s relationship came to an end at the altar in the last episode of Love Is Blind, where Ali said no. But new deleted scenes reveal a major red flag that proves why this relationship was actually doomed.

Anton introduced Ali to his best friend, Joe, and his girlfriend Maddison. In an unaired scene posted by Netflix on Tudum, Anton meets Ali’s friends and breaks down how the interaction went.

“We were hanging out with my friend Joe, and his girlfriend,” he said in a deleted scene. “I guess based off of what Joe has said or whatever, she made it seem like I’m really big into partying or going out, and I’m like I was, that was one of the things I talked about with Ali. Like I was, but over the last two years it’s just not my scene anymore.”

The tense conversation was brushed over in the newer episodes of Love Is Blind, even though Anton’s partying past clearly really bothered Ali. When Anton told her friends about this, she gave him a hard side-eye.

“I’m feeling like, ‘Bullsh*t’ coming from Ali,” said Ali’s friend, Nikki.

When Joe’s girlfriend first told Ali about Anton’s past, in the girls’ bathroom at the bar, she immediately believed her. The 27-year-old connected his past to his “excessive” drinking all throughout filming.

“To me it felt like, what reason does she have to blow things out of proportion? She’s had more of an opportunity to see Anton int the real world than I have,” Ali said to her friends. “I’m going off of what I’m getting told.”

Anton doubled-down, insisting this was in his past. As a truck-driver, he works nights and sleeps for most of the day, so he said he didn’t have time for that lifestyle anymore. He also pointed out Joe and his girlfriend had only been dating for four months, so she doesn’t really know him that well.

He promised time together would prove to Ali that he’s a changed person with a new lifestyle, but her friends weren’t buying it.

“She doesn’t really have time to see, she has to go off the information presented. That’s a scary red flag to be presented with,” Nikki said.

Looking back at scenes like this, it’s no wonder Ali said no at the altar.
