Why We Love This Deal
From now through Sept. 22, REI is hosting its annual Member Days event, during which Co-op members can save an extra $20 on REI Outlet orders of $100 or more. Because becoming an REI member just costs a one-time payment of $30 and comes with other valuable perks, it’s a pretty great deal for new and old members alike. And it also allows you to get one of REI’s best sleeping pads at the most compelling price we’ve seen yet.
The Sea to Summit Ether Light XT Insulated Sleeping Pad in its regular mummy configuration is now down to $120 when you enter the code OUTFALL25 at checkout. It’s a great value on a brand well-known for sleeping gear, but, seeing as how the non-mummy configurations are already sold out, it’d be wise to scoop one up soon.

What Shoppers Should Know
- Pad Thickness: 4 inches
- Dimensions: 72-by-21.7-by-4 inches
- Packed Size: 4.3-by-9.4 inches
- Weight: 1 lb. 1.3 oz.
- Best Use Case: Perfect for a source of lightweight added comfort with a mummy-style sleeping bag.
The Ether Light XT is a lightweight air pad that’s made to feel plush and thick. Its interior is filled with strong yet flexible loops of materials that firmly hold the pad together and give it a plush feel. The front-facing fabric provides a soft and quiet surface to touch, boosting comfort and reducing squeaks.
Additional things worth noting are the Ether Light XT’s antimicrobial treatment, the included stuff sack that has the pad’s pump built into it, and increased insulation that holds your body’s warmth instead of letting it dissipate into the pad. It’s also made to lock a Sea to Summit Aeros Pillow directly to the pad so it won’t slip away in the night.
The rectangular version of the Ether Light XT has already sold out entirely. However, if you use a mummy-shaped sleeping bag (Big Agnes and Marmot make some of the best), this will be perfect for your gear. Note that the regular mummy size is 72 inches head to toe, but you can upgrade to a large mummy size for 78 inches for about $14 for more headroom.
What Shoppers Are Saying
How does the pad work in practice? The loops that make up the interior really do make a big impact on the overall composition of the pad. As one sleeper who called it “supportive and comfortable” detailed, “I have trouble with bursitis, and all other pads have pressure points that cause pain. This pad distributes my weight evenly.”
Another camper discussed inflating the pad, mentioning the convenience of using the pump that’s built into the stuff sack. “When I inflate it to my liking, it really is pretty close to sleeping on a regular mattress.”
The Sea to Summit Ether Light XT Insulated Sleeping Pad is marked down to $120 with code OUTFALL25 for REI members, now through Sept 22—don’t miss your chance to grab one.
