Tixkokob’s “Mérida en Domingo” is about to turn one year old

TIXKOKOB.- Two months after celebrating its first anniversary, the Sunday program “Panucheando Tixkokob” has established itself as an engine of coexistence and local economy, reviving the heart of this cmunicipal alphabet with a format that evokes the tradition of other Yucatecan events.

Just as Mérida, the Yucatecan capital, has in its “Mérida on Sunday” A reference for cultural recreation, Tixkokob has found its own formula for success in “Panucheando”.

Since its inauguration, in December 2024the initiative has transformed the municipal market road into a vast open-air dining room.

A platform for local talent

But “Panucheando” is more than a culinary encounter. The initiative has served as a valuable platform for dissemination for talent in the regionimprinting a seal of culture and tradition on each day.

Among the artists and groups that have graced this forum are:

• Cherry Canché’s Charanga: Who made the attendees dance at the grand closing of the year 2024.

Specifically, the program was temporarily suspended for the celebrations of the Palm Sunday and Easter Sundayresuming its activities normally on Sunday, April 27.
