The Hoy No Circula program limits the circulation of cars based on the last digit of the license plate and the color of the sticker, with the objective of preventing, minimizing and controlling the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere of the city. Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico.
According to the most recent report from the Atmospheric Monitoring System of Mexico City (CDMX), with a cut-off at 6:00 p.m., air quality in the country’s capital and the area conurbation is acceptable, so contamination levels are not high enough to activate the environmental contingency.
