Well, last night’s episode of Love Island was certainly a watch. A watch was had. It was hard to believe what we were looking at – as the villa reeled from the revelation that Harrison and Lauren had slept together twice. All eyes were on how Toni would react, who was once again entertaining the advancements of Harrison after swearing him off. Harrison and Toni ended it after Toni danced around knowing the actual details of what had happened with Lauren. All the vibes were appalling. When it finally seemed like Harrison and Toni were actually done, he made a last ditch attempt before the girls got to pick for the recoupling to now tell Toni that he wants her and wants her to choose him. It was one of the most emotionally explosive recouplings ever – and now after Toni did in fact choose Harrison her heartbroken mum has posted an emotional video holding back tears about her daughter’s choice on Love Island.

Toni from this year’s Love Island has had her iconic mum Leslie Laites post throughout her time in the villa giving her updates on the situation – but this video is the most devastating yet.
Toni’s mum Leslie says of the Toni and Harrison situation in the Love Island villa after last night’s episode that she tried to film the video response a few times but had to re-record after getting too emotional. Leslie, holding back tears, says “The gist of it is that I feel like I just watched my daughter walk out onto train tracks and there is a bullet train coming right for her and I can’t scream to her. I can’t grab her from the tracks. I thought I could hold it together…
“I’m really, really disappointed. And I’m sure many of you are as well. I felt like at one point she really finally woke up and was done. I feel that him doing this sneaky, come to the terrace thing right before it’s time for recoupling is a very calculated move to try and keep him in the villa. That fucking terrace is going to be the death of me.
“She’s smarter than this. She has more pride than this. I don’t know what is in the water over there, I’m devastated by this decision that she’s made. What else can I tell you guys? I’m devastated that Cach was so hurt in this and she blew her chance with a really good guy who would have treated her with respect.
“People are making comments saying maybe [Harrison] will change and it will be a good comeback story, but I don’t believe it. The way he’s been moving, that’s him. She deserves better – she should know she deserves better. My husband’s incredibly disappointed as well. We both sat on the sofa watching this and the silence was deafening in the room when she made her decision.”
We will have to see how things unfold in the villa after Toni made her decision regarding Harrison in Love Island, but her mum has clearly made her feelings known.
