An unearthed video of Travis Kelce has revealed that Taylor Swift wasn’t the pop star he had in mind when it comes to marriage.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement post shared on Tuesday was met with total viral insanity. Garnering over 30 million likes within 24 hours, it seemed like everyone and their cats was praising the stars for their upcoming nuptials.
‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,’ the 35-year-old singer and 35-year-old American footballer captioned their first-ever joint post on social media.
The proposal itself appeared to take place in a manicured, gorgeously ethereal pink and white rose garden, with an image snapped of the NFL star down on one knee while the pop icon held his face.
While their love story has been discussed all week long, it has now been revealed that Taylor wasn’t exactly the pop star Travvy was after at one point.
In fact, he had his eyes on Katy Perry!
In a video from AfterBuzzTV in 2016, Travis was asked which pop stars he would choose to ‘kiss, marry and kill.’
He was given the options of Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry – and it was bad news for Ari, who Travis immediately killed.
His future wife didn’t fare too badly as he chose to kiss her, but it was Katy that he decided to marry.
Of course, the NFL player took barely a moment to think about the answer, and didn’t even know Taylor at the time.
Of course, many commenters joked that if they were Taylor – they’d give him at least a little bit of grief.

She was in a relationship with Calvin Harris for the first half of the year, parting ways in June 2016. In April 2016, Kanye West released the single Famous, which resparked an ongoing feud between the stars.
In 2016, Travis participated in a dating show, where he took on a bachelor-like role as women lined up to date him. Following the series, he was in a relationship with Maya Benberry, and the show ended in April 2016. In January 2017, Benberry confirmed that they had broken up.
