The governor of California has launched a website selling parody Trump merchandise in a jibe at the president.
Gavin Newsom’s Patriot Shop contains goods imitating Trump’s campaign slogans including MAGA-style ‘real patriot’ caps.
Items include’Newsom 2026′ mugs in the style of the Trump 2024 campaign logo and vests with the message ‘Trump is not hot’.
Taking to X, the Democratic politician said he had already shifted more than $100,000 of merchandise.
The store’s website showed it had sold out of copies of the Holy Bible, all signed by Newsom, selling at $100 each.
Other bits in the range include ‘Don’t poke the bear’ stickers and a red cap with the words ‘Newsom was right about everything!’

Launching his line of products, Newsom wrote on social media: ‘The Patriot Shop is now open!
‘Many people are saying this is the greatest merchandise ever made.’
He added: ‘Please enjoy, America!’
All merchandise bought on the site is a donation to Newsom’s Campaign for Democracy.
It comes as Newsom has taken some leaves out of the Trump playbook in recent weeks, such as writing social media posts in capital letters as well as using AI-generated images.
The strategy is a departure from the traditional Democratic mantra of ‘when they go low, we go high’.
But Newsom has insisted that the ‘bear has been poked’.
In an interview last week, the California Governor admitted he had changed after clashing with Trump over his handling of the LA wildfires.
‘Yes I’ve changed. The facts have changed. We need to change. We need to stand up to this authoritarian’, he told Elex Michaelson.

He added that Trump was an ‘invasive species’ and completely different to the average Republican.
‘So yes, we’re going to punch back’, he said.
It came as Trump signed an order that charges the Department of Justice with investigating instances of flag burning.
Trump said those who burn the United States flag would be charged with inciting a riot and receive one year in jail with no opportunity for early release.
Trump said burning an American flag ‘incites riots at levels we’ve never seen before.’
