Trump threatens Hamas if it violates the Gaza agreement and his deputy in Israel news

US President Donald Trump said on Monday that he would give the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) a “small chance” to respect the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, vowing at the same time to “eliminate” the movement if it did not adhere to the agreement concluded between it and Israel under its auspices.

Trump told reporters at the White House while receiving Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, “We have reached an agreement with Hamas that guarantees that their behavior will be very good, and if they do not, we will eliminate them. If we have to, they will be eliminated.”

Trump’s statements came at a time when two of his senior envoys met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after an Israeli air strike the day before Sunday threatened to destabilize the ceasefire that was established under American pressure about two weeks ago.

Trump stressed that American forces would not participate in fighting Hamas, saying that dozens of countries that agreed to join an international force to maintain stability in Gaza “would be pleased to intervene.”

He pointed out, “In addition, Israel will be ready to intervene within two minutes if you ask it to do so.”

“But we haven’t asked them to do so yet. We will give them a little chance, and hopefully there will be less violence. But right now, you know, they are violent people,” he added.

The US President also warned Hamas against continuing to carry out field executions, saying, “They already no longer have anyone to support them. They must behave well, and if they do not, they will be eliminated.”

Vance in Israel

Yesterday, Monday, US Vice President J.D. Vance left Washington for Israel on a trip accompanied by his wife, Usha.

Vance did not make any statement to reporters upon his departure from Washington, but the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said that Netanyahu would meet with the US Vice President.

In the Egyptian capital, Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya said in an interview conducted with Cairo News Channel and broadcast at dawn on Tuesday, “We are determined to continue the agreement to its end, and with regard to the file of the bodies, we are serious about extracting and handing over all the bodies as stated in the agreement.”

He added, “We find it very difficult (in exhuming bodies) because with the change in the nature of the land” due to the great destruction in the Strip, exhuming them “requires time and requires large equipment, but with determination and will, we will, God willing, reach the end of this file completely.”

Al-Hayya confirmed that Israel adhered to what was stated in the agreement in terms of allowing the entry of agreed upon amounts of humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip.

He said, “In the aid file, there was a commitment. Last week, the number of aid trucks agreed upon in the agreement entered through the crossings.”

On October 10, the ceasefire agreement entered into force, according to Trump’s plan, which is based, in addition to stopping the war, on a gradual withdrawal of the Israeli occupation army, the mutual release of prisoners, and the immediate entry of aid into the Strip.
