The ceremony, where the future of the 48 national teams that will participate in the sporting event will be revealed, is scheduled to take place at 11:00 am (Central Mexico time), and could also be attended by Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, President of Mexico, and Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada.
On November 27, the Mexican president stated that she was considering the possibility of traveling to the United States to attend the draw, which depended on whether Trump and Carney confirmed their presence.
“We are seeing if it is proven that President Trump, the Prime Minister of Canada, is going and depending on that, he would already attend the draw, then we would inform you next week,” explained the federal president during one of her morning conferences.
She mentioned that it would be Wednesday, November 3, when she will report whether she will move to Washington, where she was invited by the International Federation of Association Football, but stressed that there is a very good relationship with the United States and that the issue of barriers related to the trade agreement has practically already been resolved.
