TV fans have been raving about an ‘absurd’ new Netflix series after watching all 10 episodes on repeat.
Adult animated comedy Haunted Hotel was released on the streaming service on September 19, created by Rick and Morty’s Matt Roller.
The cartoon takes users through the creepy doors of the Undervale – an abandoned hotel which has been haunted by the ghosts of previous inhabitants.
Will Forte leads the voice cast as Nathan, alongside Eliza Coupe, Natalie Palamides, Jimmi Simpson and Skyler Gisondo.
The 10-part series has soared up the top 10 chart on Netflix and currently claims an impressive 83% Rotten Tomatoes score from critics and viewers, with fans already begging for more episodes.

Unpacking the series on Reddit, Psyopia wrote: ‘This show is EXCELLENT. I’m really hooked. It’s become my new comfort show. Already seen it like 5 times lol.’

‘I’ve had it on repeat all weekend. Obsessed with Abaddon,’ dCaristar agreed.
Kefkaisgod45 penned: ‘I just finished it the last few episodes were fantastic! I’m definitely hoping for a second season.’
Whataboutmypromotion said: ‘Had to stay home bc I’m sick – binged the whole thing and really loved it. I want more… [sic].’
As Adventurous-Shoe-987 added: ‘Really entertaining show! I was hooked from the start and couldn’t stop watching it. What a great idea to mix comedy with a family oriented horror cartoon.

‘This is a mix of absurd humor, clever writing, and moments of genuine heart. I can’t wait to finish watching the first season!’
The official synopsis reads: ‘A single mother of two struggles to run a haunted hotel with the help of her estranged brother, who is now one of the ghosts haunting the hotel and thinks the other ghosts have some pretty good ideas.’
Creator Matt previously opened up about how much hard work went into Haunted Hotel, and why it is actually the perfect show for horror lovers.
In an interview released before the premiere, he teased that there were a huge amount of Easter eggs from the genre hidden throughout all 10 episodes, encouraging fans to spot them all.
‘There are somewhere above 80 Easter eggs in the show. And they get pretty deep cuts,’ he told TV Insider. ‘I guess I would challenge people to find the Easter eggs.
Some of them are pretty obvious, like shot references, and a bunch of the background wall art… because a hotel just has to be full of art. It would have been easy to make it just a bunch of landscapes.
‘Whenever we had time and could, we tried to be more specific. Something we did a lot of was put horror buildings in the background, like the Amityville house, and Michael Myers’ house as art on the wall…

‘There’s a lot of furniture in the hotel from horror movies, which is not interesting, and people may not even notice, but why not be specific?
‘There’s a lot of that. I just re-watched all the horror movies I liked, and pulled furniture, curtains, and wallpaper from them, and gave those to our artists as suggestions for ways to populate our world and make it richer and just more specific to the genre.’
We immediately need to rewatch and catch all those Easter eggs…
Haunted Hotel is available to stream on Netflix now.
