Two people have been arrested after a bride was shot dead by a group of hooded men as she left her wedding reception.
The attackers arrived at the end of the party in Goult, France, and opened fire at around 4.30am on Sunday morning.
One of them was also killed in the exchange, while three people, including a 13-year-old child, were injured.
The shooting happened while the bride and groom were leaving in a car with their 13-year-old son, and came across the attackers who arrived in a golf cart and began firing.
The groom reversed the car in a bid to try and escape and hit one of the attackers, who is understood to be the other victim.
It is not clear if the two men who have been arrested are part of the group tasked with killing the groom, who was said to be the target.

Avignon prosecutor’s office confirmed it had opened an investigation for ‘murder and attempted murder by an organised gang’.
The police investigation continues and one possible motive is drug-related settling of scores.
It was reported that the groom was known to police for charges of criminal conspiracy and drug violations.
