Well, we couldn’t expect anything less than some mega twists to end the week of carnage which marked the 30th anniversary of the show – and boy did Hollyoaks deliver.
Following the heartbreaking death of Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell), further tragic events unfolded. Well, tragic might be a stretch for one of them, as it was at last time for Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) to get his comeuppance – and it happened in the most brutal of ways!
As he took Dodger Savage (Danny Mac), Jez was determined to have the last stand, and issued a blackmailing ultimatum for Sienna (Anna Passey), placing her twin’s life in her hands.
But one thing Jez wasn’t counting on was the fact that Sienna was actually prepared to let Dodger die, having discovered his love for Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin).

In fact, she wanted to do it herself. But as things kicked off when Sienna approached, Jez scrambled to the top of the plane where he was then pushed unceremoniously into the spinning propellors on the aircraft.
Ouch – and jez like that, another serial killer met their maker. We know Hollyoaks can bring characters back from the dead, but we have to assume that the many chunks of Jez floating about would have to be expertly re-connected inFrankenstein monster plot.
We don’t think Hollyoaks is ready to jump that particular shark, so that’s it over for Jez!
Though, Anna still holds out hope! Asked by Metro who she’d bring back to the show, she told us with a grin that it would be Jeremy Sheffield time and time again as she has adored working with him again.
Maybe there’s another secret cousin or uncle out there, biding his time to carry on Jez’s plant potting and murderous ways.
As if all that wasn’t enough drama, Grace Black (Tamara Wall) had been rushed to hospital after being shot (semi-accidentally) by Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix).
She had Rex (Jonny Labey) by her bedside and he was in floods of tears, ready to accept Grace as his mum.

Granted, she has done some deplorable things in the last year that it’s hard to look past but Tamara’s high camp alter-ego has had 12 years of iconic plotlines and performances, to was devastating for fans when she unexpectedly passed away after saying goodbyes.
But does Grace mark the final death of the chaos packed week?
Well…Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox) is still in a very bad way – could Hollyoaks be about to deliver the biggest shocker of all?
