Passengers face severe delays on two London Underground lines after a signal failure and a faulty train.

Commuters travelling on the Victoria and Jubilee lines should brace for longer journeys after issues on the Tube this morning.

First, the Jubilee line ran into trouble after the late finish of engineering works.

This has since changed to a fault on an engineering train, which is causing severe delays on the entire line, the latest TfL travel status update shows.

TfL says: ‘Severe delays due to an earlier faulty engineer’s train. Tickets are being accepted on London Buses, London Overground, DLR and the Elizabeth line via any reasonable route.’

Meanwhile, the entire Victoria line is experiencing severe delays while engineers fix a signal failure at Vauxhall.

Elsewhere, trains have been blocked in Kent between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells after an electricity supply failure.

Southeastern trains are unable to run between the stations for the time being.
