The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) through the General Directorate of Federal Motor Transportation (DGAF) informs that, The services provided through the application companies do not have authorization issued by the Secretariat to provide these transportation services.
In a statement, the agency clarified that the company Uber promoted a protection derived from the operations carried out by the National Guard in the country’s airports for lacking the respective authorization, in this regard the Thirteenth Administrative Court of Mexico City, granted a suspension to the company, so that the National Guard operations are carried out in accordance with the regulations established in the Federal Motor Transportation Roads, Bridges Law and the corresponding applicable Regulations, preventing them from being arbitrary and discriminatory, which It does not imply authorization for the provision of these services.
Likewise, users are informed that they will be able to continue using authorized taxi services at airports, tourist services and authorized buses to specific points.
