Former Love Islander Anton Danyluk has managed to get himself in trouble again, and honestly, at this point, are we even surprised? The 31-year-old who entered the villa twice has since swapped relationship drama for life as a self-styled fitness coach. He’s now been slammed for what many are calling an “insensitive” post following the tragic death of boxing legend Ricky Hatton.

After news of Ricky’s passing broke on Sunday, Anton made a post on Instagram titled “Ricky Hatton’s death hit me hard”. Alongside clips of himself boxing and several snaps of Ricky, Anton wrote that “Ricky’s passing really reminded me why I started this”.
He then pivoted into a plug for his business, advertising his free online fitness community with bullet points about “a supportive space,” “daily tasks,” and even “discounts.” Unsurprisingly, followers weren’t impressed.
One said: “This is soooooo sad using his death to promote, have a word with yourself and have some respect.”
Another added: “Using someone’s death to promote business is not it bro.”
Anton has been gradually pivoting from reality TV fame to building his fitness brand online, often sharing personal stories and motivational posts. But some followers feel he’s starting to blur the line between inspiration and insensitivity.
And honestly, this isn’t Anton’s first time being called out online. Earlier this year, he sparked backlash over comments about Ozempic that many labelled “misunderstood”. Before that, he was accused of posting “creepy” captions over old pictures with his exes Georgia Harrison and Belle Hassan, while also oversharing about his love life (or lack of one).
Anton himself has previously admitted: “Yes, I went on Love Island. Twice. No, I didn’t find love. And no, I’m not crying about it — I’m too busy building an empire and smashing PBs.”
Sure, whatever you say, Anton.
For now, Anton has deleted the Ricky Hatton post, but if history tells us anything, it probably won’t be long before he’s trending again.
